Description

The duvet is made of soft, sensory Minky fabric with raised dot pattern, and cotton. The duvet is designed for the therapy and rehabilitation of people with sensory integration disorders. When in use, the duvet applies gentle pressure on the body and thus stimulates the vestibular and proprioceptive systems responsible for deep sensation. The receptors are located in joints, muscles, and connective tissues to detect motion and position of the body. Their stimulation promotes concentration, focus, and increases body awareness. It can also have a relaxing and calming effect as it helps to reduce self-stimulating behaviours, anxiety, and nervousness.
